Name Meaning Values
input_devicen The type of input device that player n uses. 0 designates the keyboard, 1–4 designates the corresponding gamepad, and any other number means no input. The Control Settings menu can only choose 0, 1 or 2.
{up|down|left|right|attack|jump|defend}n What key player n uses for the corresponding action, if keyboard-controlled; otherwise meaningless. The virtual key code of the key.
gamepad_{attack|jump|defend}n What button player n uses for the corresponding action, if gamepad-controlled; otherwise meaningless. The 0-based number of the button.
namen Player n's name. A string of at most 11 characters; if longer, weird things happen, including invalidation of any recordings produced with the name. A backtick (`) denotes a space.
update Whether LF2 should update news and advertisements every time it starts up. Positive number means yes, 0 means no, and negative number means ask.
record Whether LF2 should record matches. 0 means no, any other number means yes.
recording_name The name to put on recording files. A string of at most 100 characters; if longer, weird things happen.
recording_email The email to put in recording files. A string of at most 99 characters; if longer, weird things happen.
recording_info The info to put on recording files. A string of at most 400 characters; if longer, weird things happen.

Non-ASCII characters tend not to be handled very well.
